Volunteer Agreement

This agreement sets out what we can each reasonably expect from your volunteering role within Festaff Limited. Festaff Limited appreciates you volunteering with us and is committed to providing volunteers with a supportive environment. We hope that you will find your volunteer experience enjoyable and rewarding.

Neither you nor we intend any employment relationship, nor any employment rights or worker rights to be created either now or at any time in the future as a result of you volunteering with us. This charter sets out general expectations and standards and does not give rise to any commitment from us to you, or in return. It should be read in conjunction with our Volunteer Requirements, Volunteer Notice and FAQs.

1. VOLUNTEER ROLE
Your role with us is as a volunteer. The tasks undertaken will be dependant on the event that you attend and the roles that require to be filled. Although you are under no obligation to volunteer for any event and we are under no obligation to give you a place at the event, once you have accepted a place at an event, it is beneficial for both parties that you attend the event and your shifts in order that we can each get the most from the volunteering experience. Failure to do so may affect the return of your deposit (please see FAQs).

We expect you to perform your role to the best of your ability and to follow our procedures and standards, including health and safety and equal opportunities, and to comply with the Bribery Act 2010. Please see our Volunteer Notice for more details of what is expected of you and our requirements for volunteers.

2. INDUCTION AND TRAINING
We will provide an induction at the event explaining what we do and how volunteers fit within our organisation and the event. We will also provide training to assist you to meet the standards we expect from volunteers and to ensure your health and safety.

3. SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT
Your main point of contact during your volunteering with us is Sandy Reid.

4. EXPENSES
As a volunteer, you will be entitled to a wristband for the event you are volunteering at. You are not entitled to any travel expenses or other expenses. As the work is unpaid voluntary work, no payment shall be made to you for your time.

5. CONFIDENTIALITY
In the course of providing your volunteering services, you may have access to confidential information relating to Festaff Limited or our clients. We expect you not to use or disclose this information to any person either during your volunteering experience with us or at any time afterwards.

6. DATA PROTECTION
You consent to us processing data relating to you and in particular to the processing of any sensitive personal data (as defined in the Data Protection Act 1998).

7. LEAVING
We ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you want to stop volunteering with us. If you do not want to volunteer after you have paid your deposit, you may not be entitled to its return (please see FAQs for details).
Whilst we look forward to you helping us out, we should also remind you that we are under no obligation to give you any volunteering opportunities.

If you are no longer available to undertake further volunteering, we will expect you to return any property in whatever format that has come into your possession in the course of providing your volunteering services to us.

8. NO EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP CREATED
This Agreement is not intended to be a legally binding agreement between us and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party (subject to the details on our FAQs page). Neither of us intends any employment relationship to be created either now or at any time in the future.
